I know we don't have it as hot as the east coast does, but it is a little too caliente here in the Evergreen State for this girl. Whew.
And what could be cooler than thinking about water, in any shape or form? So that's this month's Ten in 2010 theme.
Sprinkler
The perfect summer day is spent
running barefoot through rainbows!

Your turn!
I love your ten in 2010. It jump starts my brain.
ReplyDeleteSprinklers are a perfect subject. A lot of people here in the Pacific Northwet do not water their lawns in the summer, basically because we have green lawns 10 months out of the year. This year it will be different for us, here is my ten:
Our sprinklers work overtime for her green grass August wedding.
Floods
ReplyDeleteWater
cascading over banks,
mildewing basements,
strengthening summer neighbors' friendships
Wish I knew how to center that... Can you tell we've been having floods where I live? Canceled boat races, closed lakeside campgrounds, on top of flooded property. And let's not even think about the mosquitos.... Ah, the joys of summer!
Kate --oh, I can relate! We had a September wedding here, in 2006. Lovely but stressful. We actually got a visit from the water department who was sure we had a leak.
ReplyDeleteElaine Marie -- I forget where you are. It sounds miserable. Eat lots of garlic to ward off those skeeters.
