Though I've yet to visit, I love the Kerlan Collection at the University of Minnesota. I was first introduced to it by my good friend and longtime Kerlan volunteer, Norma Gaffron. I cannot get enough of their great notecards (note to self: time to order more!) and love the way they celebrate children's literature, especially through their manuscript collection.
Each year, an author is honored with a Kerlan Award and this year it is the good-hearted Jane Kurtz. Congratulations, Jane! This is so well-deserved.
