Teacher Tuesday

Terry Shay, 5-12 Vocal & Computer teacher, FableVision Learning Ambassador, Dot Day Fan, and Creativity Champion agreed to take time out of his busy schedule to play along on Teacher Tuesday today. Thank you, Terry!

Please fill in the blank:

You should never read and (blank) at the same time.

You should never read and drive at the same time.

If you were invited to be on Oprah, what book would you bring for her to read?

I would bring The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds and invite her to make a Celebridot. But, when she wasn't looking, I'd slide The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate under the sofa (because everyone should read it).

What is the funniest book you’ve read?

The True Blue Scouts of Sugar Man Swamp by Kathi Appelt.

What is the saddest?

Tie- Counting by 7s by Holly Goldberg Sloan and Beholding Bee by Kimberly Newton Fusco. . . Neither remain sad, but there is something haunting about the story.

Favorite reading snack/beverage?

Swedish Fish (fish is good for you)

What’s next on your TBR list?

How To Survive Middle School"by Donna Gephart.

Teachers, librarians, reading coaches, principals, custodians, lunch ladies, anyone with school connections: Please play along! Email me here and I'll get you the questions so you, too, can be featured on Teacher Tuesday.

  1. What fun, Terry and Kirby.
(Now I'm going to be thinking about Beholding Bee all day...)
