Just for Jaime

Last year, my favorite illustrator, Jaime Temairik Hedquist, told me that all she wanted for Christmas was for me to do a new blog. Because it was Jaime who asked, and because we were snowed in last holiday, I did it, launching Kirby's Lane: A Place for Readers and Writers.

I'm sure there's a way to track (but I have no idea how) the number of readers of the blog, but I do know there are 25 followers, counting both my mom and dad (hey-- thanks you guys!). Now, that's nothing like the nine million and seventy two who follow my friend Holly Cupala's blog, but I'm pretty darned proud of that number.

Of course, I will continue to use this space to share about my writing life and good news (and sometimes, I will even let my inner Crankleberry Johnson out), but I'm curious about what you would like to see on the blog. More interviews with other authors/illustrators? More book reviews? More recipes? I aim to please.

Speak up!

  2. Kirby, I would be a follower if I knew how to sign up but am seriously tech-challenged. Count me anyway.

  3. Hi Kirby! I love all bits and bobs of your blog as is. Thank you so much for granting my wishes. I'm back home now after driving through most of Hattie Big Sky country and look forward to snuggling on the couch and catching up with your posts. Happy New Year to Kirby's Lane!
