I remember being in the grocery store one day and hearing a small voice desperately calling "Mooommm!". About 10 different mom heads turned in the direction of the little voice. Even some dad heads turned. Oh, the power of "MOM!". My favorite 'mom' word experience still happens; my 27 year old son (my only son) always calls me a says "Hi mom, it's Whitney". I have only one son and one daughter and I know instantly who's calling "Hi, Mom" does not need to tell me who it is. It always makes me laugh.
